Fort Lauderdale and Miami Weddings
Fort Lauderdale and Miami are prime locations for weddings and often are the starting point for travelers to Florida. Miami Beach is known for its nightlife bars and exclusive hotels along Collins Ave. Because the beach is quite busy we do not recommend a wedding there unless you are celebrating your wedding at one of the hotels. We recommend to move beach weddings to Key Biscayne’s Crandon Beach or Bill Baggs Cape Florida Park . Both beach locations will have a permit and rental fee for weddings with guests and decoration. Smaller weddings without decoration can be held without additional fees. Another option is Fort Lauderdale and areas like Boca Raton and Deerfield Beach. Almost all beach parks will require a permit and fee to hold the wedding there. We do have a beach location with several access options available in north Hollywood that is free of charge for small weddings. We recommend to hold weddings in the late afternoon towards sunset to prevent a huge beach crowd. If you are eloping and can move the wedding date to a day during the week we recommend to do so. Another option many couples choose is to rent a vacation home on the beach and celebrate the wedding in the privacy of their own home and beach access. These locations are usually very private and perfect for smaller Miami weddings or beach weddings.
Fort Lauderdale and Miami are excellent cities for shopping and nightlife. If you are looking for some excitement neither city will disappoint you. Stroll down Collins Ave or Las Olas Blvd and enjoy great restaurants and entertainment. Fort Lauderdale also has one of the largest harbor terminals and many cruise ships will leave from Port Everglades.
